Snow Week!

It has been a week of crazy Texas weather, Ice, ice and more ice, then a bunch of snow, any possibly more ice and snow tomorrow just in time for the superbowl. I sadly had to canel a session due to the bad roads and a long drive I was not quite willing to take. I do have a newborn session scheduled for this Wednesday that I am very excited about. I do have some pictures of my Jamie playing in yesterdays snow. He had so much fun that he took it apon him self this morning to put his boots on and go to the back yard with one of the dogs. Oh the joy of 3 year olds.

We have some warmer temps today, but there is a chance for some more ice and snow tomorrow and then another round next week. Pretty crazy for the south! For now I am enjoying the snuggle time with my little man and my Hubby! (His school was cancelled today due to the weather)

Baby Miranda

I got the pleasure of photographing my cousins little bundle of joy this weekend. Little miss Miranda is getting so big and so full of smiles. Even when she projectile spit up all over Mommy, still smiling away. Haha, Sorry Sheri. Miranda is such a sweetie pie and I came to photographer her some more. Easter maybe? We will see.

Photoshop fun

I had some fun playing around with photoshop this weekend and I designed a Senior announcement card. It was a lot of fun and I am now trying my hand at a mini accordian album because I am kinda in love with them right now. Here is the announcement and I will post the mini accordian album when I am happy with it. :)

I'm a bad blogger...

So through the holiday I totally neglected the blog and I am sorry. My new years resolution this year is to remember to blog...haha. I have been expierementing a lot with photoshop along with my good friend Briana Reynolds, of Briana Reynolds photography. http://www.brianareynoldsphotography.com We have been collaborating and learning how to create our own templates and cards and are coming up with some cute stuff. I am very exctied to be photographing a couple of cutie pies next weekend for some valentines, I will be sure to post some examples. Don't give up on me, I have to remember to blog. Maybe the key is for me to now post everything on facebook, post it here with a link from facebook. I think that may be the winner.

I am a Blog slacker...

I know it has been a little while since I have posted and I am sorry. Just busy with life and trying to remember to add the blog into my routine. Here are a couple shots from the last couple weeks. First the awesome rainbow that appeared out of my back door last week. It was taken with my Nikon d80, my kit lens and a tokina fish eye adapter to get the whole thing in. I hope you enjoy how spectacular this rainbow/rainbows are!

Next is a shot from a session I did. Quite a lovely family that was referred to me. YAY, I love referrals!

James and Jennifer

When I arrived at "The Birds Nest" in Melissa, TX, the rain was POURING down on the wedding site. The bride wasn't there yet, she was off getting her hair done. I was looking around wondering what they were going to do. The brides family showed up with some canopys to put up over the seats so that we could possibly still have the ceremony outside.

It was something out of a movie and right before Jennifer showed up, the clouds broke and the sun came out. We quickly dried off all the tables and chairs and put out the decorations that Jennifer made herself. It was a beautiful scene.

This set of mother and son brings a tear to my eye every time!

Busy Couple weeks...

I have had a busy couple of weeks which is great...but I am sorry to have neglected the blog. =( Today I am going to share some photos from my jam packed weekend I had! 4 sessions (including a wedding) in two days made me a very excited and tired girl! First I would love to share the sweet little Audrey!

Isn't she sweet! Next is baby Dylan, he is a repeat customer (YAY) and these were his 9 month session. They are coming back for his 1 year as well.

My other session this same weekend was Stephanie and Alex and their beautiful maternity session. They are a really neat couple who found me on craigslist, yet they happen to live a couple streets over. Its funny how things work out sometimes.
